The Association of Jewish Refugees (AJR)
The AJR offers advice and assistance with claims for Holocaust era compensation and the restitution of appropriated assets.
The Berlin State Archive (Landesarchiv Berlin) has an online database of applications for restitution filed with the Berlin restitution offices. Information includes claimant’s name and address (including women’s maiden name), whom the claim is against, name of person whose property was seized, nature of property, and file number.
Holocaust museums are located all over the world, with many in the United States. These museums can provide useful information, as they frequently have testimonies and other information about people who are local to their communities.
