Subject Guide: Literature

There is a rich and varied tradition of writing in Jewish culture. This subject guide was created to highlight a selection of Jewish writers, with an emphasis on the archival collection of personal papers held by our partner organizations. 

There was also a focus made on writers that aren't featured in other subject guides. Other guides that highlight more specific fields of literature include - 

• The Performing Arts Guide features collections concerning dramatists. 
• The American Yiddish Press Guide features collections concerning journalists and critics.
• The Jewish Nobel Prize Laureates Guide features a section on Jewish winners of the Nobel Prize in Literature.
• The Comics and Graphic Novels Guide features collections concerning comics and graphic novels.
